Happy New Year to everyone! I’m excited to share that my book is finally out! It’s been an incredible journey, and while there’s a mix of excitement and anxiety about how it will be received, I feel it’s important to express my experiences. Writing has always helped me process my emotions, and I hope sharing these reflections here will resonate with others who have faced similar challenges.

The Foundation of My Career

As many of you know, I work as a leadership development coach, guiding corporate leaders and their teams through change and adversity. Over the past fifteen years, I have found immense fulfillment in helping others discover their inner strength and confidence. My journey into this field was shaped by my own difficult upbringing. Losing my parents at a young age forced me to navigate a series of challenges that could have easily overwhelmed me.

Despite the hardships, I emerged stronger and more resilient. I became deeply invested in self-help and personal development, leading me to dedicate my career to empowering others to weather life’s storms. While I’ve shared my professional insights with clients, I’ve kept my personal struggles private. However, my experiences have allowed me to connect deeply with those I work with.

The Most Profound Challenge

I once believed I had found happiness, both in love and my career. Yet, everything changed in April 2009, when I uncovered the truth about my marriage, which turned out to be a façade. Like many here, I have faced betrayal, and the revelation nearly brought me to my knees. However, I fought back from despair, and it was not easy.

The Healing Power of Writing

A wise friend encouraged me to “write it all out.” I began journaling my thoughts and feelings, later transitioning to a blog. I found solace in sharing my experiences, and soon my blog became a source of connection with others who were also struggling. It was humbling to see how my journey inspired others, and I decided to broaden my audience.

The blog, “Life’s Little Lettuces,” grew in readership, and I received countless messages of encouragement. It was both scary and liberating to share my story, but the feedback fueled my resolve to continue.

Bringing the Book to Life

After receiving suggestions to write a book, I finally took the plunge, leading to the creation of “I’m Still Standing.” Writing the book meant revisiting my past, and I grappled with fears about how my clients might react. However, the process was deeply cathartic, allowing me to confront and acknowledge the difficulties I had faced. I felt a mix of anger and pride as I documented my journey.

My book launched on December 21, 2012, and is available on platforms like Kindle, iBooks, and others. The paperback edition will be released soon, and I’m both excited and apprehensive about how it will be received. If my story can help even one person, it makes it all worthwhile.

I’d like to extend a special invitation to the community: I have a few limited edition signed copies available for giveaway. If you’re interested, feel free to reach out.

Thank you for your continued support. This community has been a source of love and healing, and I’m grateful to be a part of it. Here’s to a bright 2023—may it bring joy and hope to us all!
