New Training Courses and Certification Updates from AWS Training and Certification for August 2024

Welcome to our August update, where we share the latest training courses and certification developments aimed at empowering you and your teams to effectively utilize AWS services and solutions. If you missed last month’s course recap, you can find it here.
This month, we proudly introduced 46 new digital training offerings on AWS Skill Builder, which includes 28 brand-new digital courses, 2 fresh AWS Builder Labs, and an updated Learning Plan. Additionally, we rolled out a new classroom training session specifically for executives, titled “Generative AI for Executives,” and refreshed the “Data Warehousing on AWS” course. Registration is now open for two new AWS Certifications: AWS Certified AI Practitioner and AWS Certified Machine Learning Engineer – Associate.
We are also excited to announce the launch of the AWS Distributor Resell Capability. This initiative allows AWS Partners and small to medium-sized businesses (SMBs) to efficiently bundle services and training, thereby accelerating innovation in collaboration with an AWS Distributor. New Features in AWS Skill Builder Subscriptions
AWS Skill Builder subscriptions, available globally, unlock enhanced AWS Certification exam preparation and hands-on cloud training experiences, including interactive learning and lab activities like AWS Cloud Quest, AWS Industry Quest, AWS Builder Labs, and AWS Jam challenges. Certain plans also provide access to AWS Digital Classroom courses for in-depth instruction from experts.
Here are some highlights of the recent updates to AWS Skill Builder subscriptions:
- AWS Builder Labs: Gain practical cloud skills through hands-on experience using the AWS Management Console with over 200 AWS Builder Labs. Check out our newest labs:
- Advanced Lab: Orchestrate a Machine Learning Workflow using Amazon SageMaker Pipelines and SageMaker Model Registry
- Lab: Monitor a Model for Data Drift
- AWS Digital Classroom: This course format combines the benefits of live classroom training with the flexibility of digital learning. You can access recordings from expert instructors, demonstrations, hands-on labs, knowledge checks, and assessments, making it easier to learn at your own pace. This month, we launched the following Digital Classroom course:
- Fundamental: Generative AI for Executives
- Paid Digital Training:
- Intermediate: Data Engineering on AWS – A Data Lake Solution (Includes Labs), Data Engineering on AWS – A Data Warehouse Solution (Includes Labs)
- Advanced: AWS ML Engineer Associate series focusing on various deployment and monitoring aspects.
AWS Certification Exam Preparation and Updates
Registration is now open for new AWS Certifications focused on AI, ML, and generative AI. Both beta exams are offered in English and Japanese. Supporting exam prep materials are also available.
- AWS Certified AI Practitioner: Aimed at individuals looking to demonstrate their foundational understanding of AI and generative AI concepts.
- AWS Certified Machine Learning Engineer – Associate: For those who want to showcase their skills in building, deploying, and maintaining AI and ML solutions on AWS.
Each AWS Certification exam preparation follows a structured 4-step plan available on AWS Skill Builder. These plans include free resources like practice question sets and subscription-based content, such as official practice exams and interactive learning modules.
This month, we also launched exam prep courses for the new certifications:
- AWS Certified AI Practitioner: Official Practice Question Set, Standard Course, Enhanced Course, and Official Pretest.
- AWS Certified Machine Learning Engineer – Associate: Similar offerings for exam preparation.
Free Digital Training on AWS Skill Builder
AWS Skill Builder continues to provide access to over 600 free digital courses and learning plans to learners across 200+ countries and territories. This month, we launched several free digital courses, including Amazon Connect fundamentals and Data Engineering on AWS foundations.
