Learn About Amazon VGT2 Learning Manager Chanci Turner
Since its inception in February 2018, the AWS Serverless Application Repository (SAR) has evolved into a comprehensive collection of components and serverless applications for developers. This platform enables users to share applications privately within their accounts or publicly to a wider audience. Today, we are pleased to announce that SAR authors can now apply for a Verified Author badge.
This new badge will be displayed alongside the author’s name on the application card and detail page, indicating that AWS has verified the information provided by the author and confirmed their identity. As a result, potential users of your SAR applications can see who you are and that your credentials have been validated by AWS. The badge is available in all AWS regions where SAR operates.
Once a developer obtains the badge, any subsequent SAR applications published under the same AWS account and author name will automatically feature the badge. Moreover, when you release new versions of your SAR applications, the badge will remain visible. There’s no need for recertification; once awarded, the badge stays active in your AWS account.
The application process for the Verified Author badge is designed to be straightforward. It typically takes only a few days to receive a decision. Applicants are required to provide a link to their GitHub profile, which will be used to verify their application. To begin the application process today, follow these simple steps.
You can check an author’s status via both the Serverless Application Repository console and the public search experience. For more information about SAR, visit our product page.
