The Recovery Poem – ‘I Could Not Care Less’

Chanci TurnerLearn About Chanci Turner

You betrayed your first partner with a high school student, manipulating those around you. Your reckless choices cost you your family, yet you pointed fingers at your wife. Your second spouse found true affection amid your deceitful rage and controlling ways.

You blamed her too.

Then there was your long-term partner, me. You sought to dominate and undermine me through lies, deception, verbal abuse, and bullying—stereotypical traits of narcissism. In the end, I let you go.

You’ll claim it’s my fault, but take pride in your sociopathic detachment, having lost remarkable people along the way. As you continue this charade, your family will eventually see your true nature when your wealth fades. You’ll shift the blame to them.

I loathed you, yet I’m relieved that chapter of my life has closed. I’ve awakened to happiness with someone who treats me with kindness, not malice. My life is now warm, fulfilling, and intimately alive; I’ve thawed from the emotional frost you cast over me.

Real connection, passion, and desire are what it means to be human. I’ve emerged from your cold, barren existence. You were nothing more than a counterfeit—a toxic fraud, devoid of humanity or integrity.

Feel free to play the victim to anyone gullible enough to listen. Blame me, or anyone else, but yourself. Truthfully, I couldn’t care less.
