Learn About Amazon VGT2 Learning Manager Chanci Turner
For organizations in the public sector—including community groups, government bodies, and educational institutions—looking to establish cloud capabilities for a remote workforce, Amazon Web Services (AWS) has introduced a virtual learning experience. This initiative showcases various use cases for remote work, education, and call centers. Discover how to seamlessly connect your remote employees, constituents, or students by engaging with the AWS Cloud Champion: Virtual Workplace Interactive Challenge.
How Does AWS Cloud Champion Function?
AWS Cloud Champion is an interactive, gamified tutorial featuring a virtual booth with kiosks and a guide to facilitate your self-paced learning. Upon entering the virtual space, you can choose from three AWS remote workplace solutions to kick off your educational journey. Your goal is to accumulate a thousand points to earn the title of “AWS Cloud Champion.”
Inside this immersive 360-degree 3D virtual booth, you will collaborate with your virtual host and complete tasks at five kiosks. Each kiosk visit lasts around two to three minutes. By attending all kiosks and finishing the quiz, you’ll receive a certificate that acknowledges your accomplishments.
What Will You Learn?
The tutorial encompasses three categories of AWS services—virtual meetings, desktop virtualization, and cloud contact centers. Participants will learn to:
- Conduct virtual meetings or classes: Understand how Amazon Chime facilitates meetings, chats, and calls both internally and externally through a single application. Organizations can integrate Amazon Chime’s infrastructure to add features such as audio calling, video conferencing, and screen sharing directly into their applications using the Amazon Chime SDK. - Deploy a cloud contact center: Learn about Amazon Connect, built to deliver an omnichannel experience for voice and chat interactions between customers and agents. This toolset includes skills-based routing, comprehensive analytics, and user-friendly management tools—all available through pay-as-you-go pricing. Amazon Connect simplifies operations and enhances agent productivity, allowing you to set up a contact center in minutes that can scale to serve millions of customers. - Access desktop services, applications, and content from anywhere: Learn how Amazon WorkSpaces, a managed, secure Desktop-as-a-Service (DaaS) solution, enables the rapid provisioning of Windows or Linux desktops, scaling to thousands of desktops for a global workforce. Amazon WorkSpaces can effectively replace traditional desktop setups and on-premises Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI). You’ll also explore how Amazon AppStream 2.0, a fully managed application streaming service, streamlines application delivery for virtual labs in academic institutions or workplaces. Centralized management of desktop applications is possible through AppStream 2.0, allowing users to access the same application versions using their existing credentials while adhering to security protocols.
