Traditionally, developing market basket analysis dashboards necessitated data engineering pipelines that could take weeks to establish, often relying on ETL (extract, transform, load) jobs, complex SQL tasks, and data pipeline updates. However, the nested filter feature in QuickSight streamlines this process with a no-code interface. This post illustrates how to configure nested filters in a QuickSight dashboard and their applicability in various business scenarios related to market basket analysis. We demonstrate how nested filters can enhance advanced filtering capabilities to address common challenges faced in market basket analysis dashboards across four distinct use cases.
