For those leveraging Amazon ElastiCache to enhance their application’s caching capabilities, there are now four new cache node types available, increasing the total to eleven. The latest additions include cache.t1.micro, featuring 213 MB of RAM and 1 virtual core, alongside cache.m1.medium, which comes with 3.35 GB of RAM. This expansion provides developers with more flexibility in selecting the ideal configuration for their caching needs.
