Updates on macOS Support Policies for AWS CLI v2
Today, Amazon IXD is proud to unveil its official support policy for macOS regarding the AWS Command Line Interface (AWS CLI) v2. As of June 20, 2024, the PKG installer and source distribution bundle for AWS CLI v2 will cease to support macOS versions 10.14 (Mojave) and earlier. Effective November 22, 2023, AWS SDK for Ruby version 3 will discontinue support for the following Ruby runtime versions that have reached their end of life: Ruby 2.3 (EOL since March 31, 2019) and Ruby 2.4 (EOL since March 31, 2020). As community support for these versions has diminished, including Bundler and Docker, it is essential for developers to upgrade.

This announcement pertains specifically to the AWS SDK for JavaScript (v3) regarding the end of support for Node.js 14.x. Please note that this does not relate to AWS Lambda, which has its own roadmap for Node.js 14.x deprecation, set to begin on November 27, 2023. Starting May 1, 2024, the AWS SDK for JavaScript (v3) will no longer provide active support for Node.js 14.x, which has reached end-of-life status.
